Israeli officials have condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to call off strikes in Lebanon after a heated conversation with US President Donald Trump.
The US President had expressed frustration over what he perceived as a disproportionate military response to Hezbollah's strikes on Israel.
Netanyahu's decision to halt strikes has been met with criticism from several Israeli leaders, including National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot.
Ben-Gvir urged Netanyahu to tell Trump 'no' and continue to strike Hezbollah, while Eisenkot called Trump's directive a 'humiliating demand'.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid slammed Netanyahu for behaving as though Israel were a protectorate state of the US.
