The Athletics Federation of India has issued a warning to athletes who fail to participate in events without valid reasons. The AFI has been facing issues with athletes entering their names but not showing up, often due to fear of doping tests. The federation has announced that athletes who fail to participate after sending an entry without a valid reason may be barred from subsequent events.

Additionally, only athletes who have participated in at least two AFI-organised competitions during the year will be allowed to participate in the Federation Cup. The AFI has also clarified that athletes who have completed their suspension periods can submit proof of performances achieved before their ineligibility to compete in National Championships.
