Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes could join OTAs this month, a move way ahead of schedule from his torn ACL and LCL suffered late 2025. Coach Andy Reid shared the news, claiming Mahomes is throwing and doing most Phase 2 drills.

Reid's update came as a surprise, with Mahomes targeting Week 1 of the 2026 season, defying typical 9-12 month timelines. His trainer Bobby Stroupe called it 'unreal progress.'

Chiefs' fans have reacted positively to the news, with some even predicting Mahomes will return stronger than ever. Rivals have also acknowledged that the dynasty is not over, citing Mahomes' exceptional abilities.

Mahomes, 30, is a three-time Super Bowl champ and two-time MVP, and has maintained his special presence in the NFL since being drafted 10th overall in 2017.
