New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel received a standing ovation from die-hard fans at a Q&A session at Gillette Stadium, despite controversy surrounding his relationship with NFL insider Dianna Russini.
The room was filled with Patriots supporters who made it clear they stand behind their coach, despite photos of Vrabel and Russini at an adults-only resort in Arizona, and additional images showing the two gambling at a casino and kissing at a bar.
Russini has resigned from her position at The Athletic amid an investigation, while Vrabel has the support of Patriots ownership and the NFL has signaled he will not face an investigation.
Vrabel has said he would seek counselling ahead of the NFL Draft, stating 'whatever my family needs, that's what I'm going to provide.'
