Mumbai-based steeplechaser Avinash Sable has been struggling to regain his form after a knee injury. The 31-year-old athlete, who won silver at the CWG and gold at the Asian Games, has been working hard to get back to his best. Sable has been training at the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) to address a little imbalance in his thigh muscles. He is aiming to make a comeback in time for the CWG and Asian Games, but doubts and fear linger.

Sable has been through two significant injury setbacks in his career, but this one has been the toughest. He had surgery in July and spent several months in rehab. He resumed light training in December and gradually ramped up his training between January and March. However, he still feels that he needs more time to regain his strength and confidence.

The pressure of the upcoming competitions is also taking a toll on Sable. He is concerned that if he doesn't perform well in the Federation Cup or the Inter-State, it will impact his main goals for the season - the CWG and Asian Games. Sable is determined to overcome his doubts and fears and make a successful comeback.
